Day 1: Marrakech –Kasbah of Telouet- Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate –Skoura– Amridil-Rose valley – Todgha gorge –Tinjdad-Tafilalet oasis -Sijilmassa in Rissani-Merzouga- Erg Chebbi dunes
Today you will start the 2 days venture from Marrakech to the Merzouga desert by leaving Riad in the Medina of Marrakech at 7:00 am and heading southeast towards the Kasbah of Telouet where you will see the imposing fortress, which was the former seat of the Glaoui clan, lords of the Atlas Mountains, is now a ruin but still an impressive sight.
Afterward, you continue through the Tizi n’Tichka pass, the highest road in Morocco, and stop for lunch at the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben haddou. This is a fortified city dating back to the 11th century, and many films have been shot here including Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia.
Furthermore, this fortified city was once an important stop on the caravan route between the Sahara and the Mediterranean. You will have a great time exploring the city and learning about its history.
After lunch, you will set off to Ouarzazate, which is known as the gateway to the Sahara Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa”. This is a bustling town with a number of studios and film sets.

Day 2: Merzouga – Nkob- Draa Valley Agdez – Marrakech
On day two of your Tour, you will wake up to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi. The best way to experience the dunes is to take a camel ride. Camel rides are available for an additional cost and are a great way to see the dunes up close.
After exploring the dunes, you will travel to the volcanic mountains of Sarhro which are located in the Atlas Mountains and are home to some of the most active volcanoes in Morocco and are known for their stunning rock formations.
